Hearing Accesibility In America

In my experience for the Accessible Date Assignment it was a great opportunity. I learn a lot in such little time. It was one of the best experiences that I was glad to be a part of due to my accessibility in movie theaters. I wanted to see how it felt to actually go to a movie theater with a deaf person like me but the only difference with me I am only partial death on one side. So I being able to watch and be a part of someone on a date that was fully death caught my attention. People do not understand that being death can be very hard and limit us to social lie activities. Our economy has become much better with addressing accessibility issues through its pass time but it is still some important factors that we need to address.  Adaptability which is extent to which an environment and its components can be reorganized to accommodate new or different patterns of behavior played a big part that night on our date. I had a good friend that sister is fully death in both ears and have low self-esteem because of her birth effect. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to take a beautiful girl out and let her see it’s so much to life than what she has grew to believe. All though the search of a great theater was hard but after two days of research we finally found one all the way in Alabama. I love to travel and have a good time so the distance was not a problem. Besides she needed a good time in her life. I was also curious because 23 years here on earth I never knew that they had theaters for the death. This put her and me in her comfort zone which basically extended the environment which provided us sensory and mobility fit and task performances.  The experience was actually great the people were very nice and not so suspect to making assumptions off hands. I thought that it was very unique how they hired people on certain nights just to accommodate sign language for the hearing impaired. They had lots of control and you could tell that they were genuine there to the extent to which the movies environment was facilitated to personalization and conveyed to its space. The behavior setting was the same and held positive quality throughout the entire staff that was on duty. Another good key point that I saw was since the hearing impaired and location we did not have to worry about crowding it was a relax place. Privacy was not really a factor due to the service that was given because you were really at your own risk by attending the event. Sociality was awesome because it was a great opportunity for her to interact with some of our fellow hearing impaired groups that could relate to us and our dimension. I am very thankful for the ADA act because of the particular law it’s a great start to an important change throughout all communities for people of disabilities to feel equality and respected and not single out. In conclusion to my essay I know she enjoyed the Carmikes movie theater and now I have open her eyes and did my human service duty to making someone feel special. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:A_Video_Interpreter_sign_used_at_videophone_stations_in_public_places_where_Deaf_people_can_communicate_with_hearing_people_via_a_Video_Relay_Service_New_Image.JPG
